Welcome!

Welcome to our website.

The beautiful ancestral homelands of the Turrbal people stretch from the North Pine River south to the Logan River and inland as far as Moggill.

The purpose of this website is to help indigenous and non-indigenous people alike to celebrate the history and rich culture of the Turrbal, and to gain a fresh appreciation of our land.

Hello, I am organising a Family Law expo in Brisbane to be held on the 6th July, 2011 and am wanting to make contact with the traditional owners to support us to pay our respects and Welcome us to Your Country.
The expo will be attended by approximately 250 people who work with families in crisis following family separation and breakdown.
    Yours sincerely

    Hello

I am organising the logistics behind a summit for approximately 1300 young people at St Laurence’s College in Brisbane this October. I am writing to ask if the Turrbal people could please send a representative to open the conference with a Welcome to Country performance. Please could you email me as soon as possible with some information about this service?

    Best wishes
    Emily.

  • thankyou for your website . May you know that your people are honoured and respected and by many. May you continue your work to strengthen your people and encourage awareness of your beautiful culture as so many of us are eager to learn more. We will all be the better for it…as with educating us, we appreciate and understand your people, traditions and beliefs…the people whose homeland we now reside upon.
I live in Yoweggera (ENOGGERA) and I want to know as much about the people who lived here before the convict settlement began. I am also a Brisbane Artist and one of my goals is to encourage awareness of history and those who have walked this earth before us…especially the Turrbal people, so I am always eager to learn more . I would therefore like to meet or talk with you, if that was possible. God Bless you. Pam

    Hello ,

I am currently in the process of refurbishing the Aboriginal Art Trail at Mt Coot-tha.
My Question is where the Turrbal People consulted as to the art on display?
At this stage I am finding it difficult to find information in regards to the display.
At what is the opinion of the art currently on display?

    Regards,
